Why was the suite opening onto the château's main courtyard dedicated to Sissi?
Situated in the rising sun, this flat would have seduced the beautiful empress if her carriage had stopped off in Tailly. In fact, Elisabeth, a humble country girl, became, almost in spite of herself, the prestigious Sissi, Empress of Austria and Empress of France.
of Hungary would have appreciated the discreet charm of the eponymous salon; she would have loved the alcove where a magnificent lion-legged bathtub sits in an imperial setting at its centre!
She would have known the joys of a modern bathroom where Fanny, her hairdresser and herself would have spent more than three hours a day brushing, combing and braiding her "ripe chestnut-coloured" hair, which fell to her ankles.
In the bucolic park, the most beautiful sovereign in the world would have found the inspiration for a poem like the one she wrote at the height of her happiness:
"Born on a Sunday, I am a daughter of the sun; He made me a throne from his golden rays, He wove a crown for me from his radiance; His light is my dwelling place like no other".

The largest bedroom is dedicated to Marie-Antoinette. In this hushed universe, you will discover a remarkable evocation of the "Queen's Hamlet": the mill, the courtiers and the jester. The latter, all bowing and scraping and kissing each other's hands, hurrying around elegant young ladies dressed in the latest fashion by Mademoiselle Bertin...
The only infidelities to the Grand Siècle are the 180×200 bed, topped by an elegant four-poster, the bathroom with its lion's foot bathtub, jet shower and even the 'throne cabinet', duly crowned and decorated with royal lilies.

Pablo room
The Pablo room is dedicated to the work of his illustrious namesake, the father of Cubism. The remarkable trompe l'oeil paintings are inspired by Provence, evoking the happiest period in the painter's life. As dusk falls, take a few moments to relax on the iron bench in the living room, with its virtually fluffy cushions and its bizarre backrest. Then, as a prelude to sleep, savour the benefits of the waves in a very real XXL bathtub, opening like a corolla in the centre of an oversized bathroom. In the morning, wake up to the rustle of a shutter pushed open by a damsel from Avignon with a face that's half profile, half face.
Dare we say it: Surreal!
